Recently, HALO Account Executives Terri Tucker and Karen Giattino were recognized for their creative efforts on a client program. The mailer won the Giattino-Tucker Team a Silver Pyramid Award from the Promotional Products Association International (PPAI). The Pyramid Awards recognize outstanding use of promotional products by distributors.
Let’s elaborate on what Terri and Karen did to win this reputable award.
The JM&A Group, a Fortune 500 affiliate that has been named one of Fortune’s 100 best companies to work for, for 19 years and running; reached out for their “family reunion” trip that they plan annually as an incentive for 500 dealers and their families. This year’s incentive trip was to visit the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas.
The Giattino-Tucker Team was tasked to come up with creative, fun ideas for the entire campaign such as a teaser/confirmation gift, a fun documentation mailer, beach amenities including a tote bag filled with a variety of beach-bound items.
The challenge was that the confirmation gift had to raise excitement and appeal to the entire family, including young children, teens and adults when the gift was delivered to their home.
They created an entertaining beach themed photo gift, all packaged in a mini Adirondack beach chair. Items included: a name brand instant mini picture camera, colorful photo cubes, a pack of instant film, a selfie stick, an acrylic magnetic photo frame with the customer’s event logo, all wrapped in cellophane and embellished with colorful, eye-catching ribbons.
In addition, they were asked to come up with packaging ideas filled with fun items and all of the necessary documents for the trip. This included custom luggage tags, fun logoed puzzles, playing cards and squirt guns. This was all placed in a tin that featured the client’s logo for the trip, inside of the tin was a custom foam cutout to ensure the items fit nice and snug inside.
The Giattino-Tucker Team agreed that part of the challenge with this gift was the sourcing, since so many different components were required, that meant working with multiple vendors.
After it was all said and done, the customer was thrilled with the results of this incentive and the team received rave reviews. As a result of their creativity, they continue to get many referrals from within the JM&A group.
