Human Resource departments use promotional products to support a variety of recruiting, retention, safety and wellness programs. Employees enjoy getting ‘free stuff’ from their employers often.
Not only does HALO sell promotional products – we use them too. One way HALO utilizes healthcare promotional products is to support our corporate wellness program – introduced several years ago and still a huge success.
HALO formed a wellness committee with employees from each department. The committee created their own wellness logos and set goals for employees.
HALO Wellness Goal Examples Set by the Committee
1) Get at least 30 minutes of physical activity a day, 6 days a week.
2) Drink 64 oz of water a day.
How did we get employees to become more active?
By setting reachable goals and rewarding employees with useful everyday items to increase corporate wellness. We supplied promotional pedometers with our wellness logo to each employee to promote daily activity, and provided a 64 oz water bottle to promote the second goal.
Even though those water bottles were handed out over five years ago, I still see employees utilizing them today. Put it in front of them and they don’t have to think about it. The bottle was full of what they needed to drink and they could see they reached their goal when the bottle was empty.
Wellness Program Incentives
We also rewarded employees who reached their goals by allowing them to choose from a multitude of fitness promotional products such as gym bags, yoga mats, workout equipment, and other gifts that many are still enjoying today.
Using promotional products for our wellness program kept the idea of wellness front and center — reminding everyone of how important their health is to us and rewarding them for a job well-done!
