At previous Big Ten conferences, the hosting school provided promotional items featuring only their logo. Many items were deemed unusable after the conference — since University of Illinois staff could not be seen with a tote promoting the University of Ohio and vice versa.
An independent fundraising, fund administration and asset management organization, whom is the official fundraising and private gift-receiving agency for the Big Ten University asked HALO to assist with a package of promotional suite items for the Big Ten conference of universities.

Provide a suite of custom trade show items for the Big Ten conference that could be used long after the event by all participating schools.
I worked with the host school to develop a Big Ten logo featuring the campus colors of all Big Ten universities. This logo was used on all products including a custom 3 ring binder with matching dividers, personalized umbrellas, promotional flashlights, personalized chocolates and custom badges.
Since the host school is located in one of the top 25 green cities in America, I choose products made from eco-friendly materials. The host university is also famous for being the first to develop LED technology, so I incorporated the Garrity 9 LED Flashlight.
The final suite of products proved to be both practical and eco-friendly while showcasing the unique attributes of the host university and creating a universal product offering that could be used long after the event. The host university’s fundraising agency was thrilled with the response and passed HALO’s information along to next year’s host school.
